With a backdrop of the Himalayas, it's a tranquil mountain town. It's still very much India though because of all the contradictions- you're just as likely to find things of great beauty...
... as you are of heart-breaking poverty.
Still though, the scenes of everyday life continuously unfolding before you make it a fascinating place to experience.

Liquor shop (still not sure what English wine is...)-
This sign just cracks me up, although I personally like the seediness quality in the nighttime!
