Things that Crack Me Up in India

Looking through my photos of the last couple of months in India, here are some things that made me laugh.

1. The Village Vampire-
Village Vampire 1
I've been to a lot of rural villages before, but this is the first time I've seen seen someone in a costume. I wonder if he's the equivalent of a clown at a circus? Must be a human thing that cuts across cultures where adults wear makeup and scare little kids.

2. Street Animals-
Always a novelty to see an elephant go strolling down the street with all the regular traffic (much better than the naked guy I saw a few weeks ago).

3. Coats on Animals
Keeping the Goat Warm
Really? Is it really that cold in New Delhi to put fleece on an animal that already has fur? Someone told me a crazy German lady was running around and doing this. I'm all for doing something for animals, but considering there are plenty of cold people on the streets too...
A Second Coat? Really?

4. Bar Decor
I almost put a 10Rs note on the stage next to the mannequin on the stripper pole...

5. Street massage specialists-
I'm positive they're certified in swedish, shiatsu and spades. Really.

6. Haircuts in India-
For some reason or another I found out (the hard way) that the quality of my haircut goes down when the cost goes up. Not sure why that is.

Interesting Haircut

So this actually wasn't too funny after I first got it cut (maybe now after it grew out). As my friend put it "Wow! I didn't know a haircut in India can change your ethnicity!!!"

I actually prefer the street barbers, they know how to cut hair. And as an added bonus, you get a scalp massage!
